Scratched flat screen

We're in the process of moving, and during the move the surface of the screen of our 60 inch flat screen got scratched. I don't know how it will affect viewing the picture, it'll be a while before we have the time to set it up. Is there anything that can be done to remove the scratch?

I use this stuff. It called an "optical obscuring product". Not really cheap but it makes scratches go away. I use it on my motorcycle helmet shield and the wind screen on my motorcycle. I also have - Meguiars Mirror Glaze. I find that Plexus does a superior job.

Before retiring I was an electronic technician, primarily TV repair. The problem with scratches on flat screens is the optical distortion. Maybe the stuff oosik suggested will work, I'm not familiar with it. Maybe post a picture showing extent of damage.

Some how or other I will get scratches on my motorcycle windshield. Large bugs - ??? I clean/treat both my helmet & windshield in the same manner. First - gently wipe down the surface with a microfibre cloth soaked in warm water. Buff dry with dry microfibre. Apply Plexus and buff.

Nothing will remove the scratch. Plexus will optically obscure the scratch. Used properly - you should be pleasantly surprised.

Actually, I don't have a camera or a cell phone. Right now, we don't even have the TV hooked up. We don't have cable, we get DVD's from the library for free, so the TV is only hooked up to a DVD player. Right now, the libraries are closed due to covid, so the TV isn't in use. I will try oosik's cure.

There were also CD/DVD scratch removers which was a fine abrasive paste, panel beaters use about 3000 grit9nd higher) aluminium oxide discs to polish sandblasted windscreens.
