Schwartz Cylinder Seal Kits?

I have a Schwartz FEL that is on my Satoh/Mitsubishi Buck 470D. All 4 cylinders need new seals. The rod is 1"dia. and the Cylinder ID is 1.75". Anyone know where I can get them?

Find a good competent local hyd shop, bring in the cylinder completely taken apart......easy to match seals

sound advice! I'll probably end up doing as you suggest but, it sure would be nice to find a company to buy them off of so I could repair them myself.

You can still DIY.....just buy the seals only from the hyd shop

Hercules is first-rate, and have some kits listed by application.

Rebuilding hyd cyl.

I would recommend taking it to a hyd shop and have them measure and fix the cyl and then test it.

Most people will not even know what to measure and how to measure.

You have to know things like bore diameter, piston diameter, land width, land depth, seal composition.

Need to check bore for scoring, any bulging, piston nut strippedand loose, rod bent, rod nicks, etc.

You might go to the hardware and find something close, and it might even work for a while, and then , and then, oops, to late, there she goes Fred.

Anyway, you can try it yourself if you want to. Some are easy and some are hard.
