Schulte FX180 vs Bush Hog 3715
Bushhog is near me (50 miles away) the Schulte is probably 8-10 hour drive (or I could have it shipped for a price)
The question is, how do they compare? This is a Schulte FX180, NOT a FX1800. I had the factory rep on phone other day. He told me he's responsible for growing sales in the south. When I mentioned 180, he near insisted I was talking about an 1800. Maybe he's new and this is before his time. None the less, he then started trying to suggest I buy a new unit for $20,000.... I asked if this was a light, medium or heavy duty....he said they're "all" heavy duty.
(brother in law had a 15' mower going once and it acted like it was going to shake itself to pieces every time it hit a clump of stuff.... it really had no mass to it and appeared to be VERY flimsy so he got rid of it)
Asking price on the Bushhog 3715 is $7,400 verses $6,500 on the Shulte (plus quite a distance to retrieve the Schulte) I stopped to ask about the Bushhog and the guy I spoke with acted as though they had no wiggle room.... so I essentially turned & walked out but I didn't close their door. It has a new stump jumper pan in the MIDDLE section and new blades on that pan. Other blades are used.
Don't ask about buying new.... well, go ahead if you must. I'm buying this for my wife's family farm so worded differently, I'm buying it to take care of someone else's property, not mine, so I want to keep expenses down.
(already bought the IH 1066 to power something, now I need to find the something!)

Any knowledge to which one is a stronger (more sturdy) unit? How about which might cut better?
I also found a Schulte 3020 on the far side of Nashville....when I was talking to the factory rep, he said THAT mower (3020) had all three blades rotate in same direction so they clumped the clippings into the center of it. I've never seen that mower so have no clue.... I have NO reason to not believe him however, when he said that my "watchout for BS" meter started to raise up a bit. I'm fearing he was downplaying anything I was looking at in lieu of trying to entice me to buy a new unit (which is NEVER going to happen for that brand.....too expensive for my situation)
Anyone know facts about the 3020??
