Scam or Not??? Help!

I know this is supposed to be about tractors, so just pretend it's for a tractor part.
You folks are good judges of this and I don't want to get sucked into a scam. I have a tanning bed for sale for $550 on CL and I received this message. Do you think it is a scam.
I copied his response from the e-mail he sent me. What do you think? I never ran into that before. Any ideas.

" i really appreciate your response and consider this item sold.
am very okay with the price and condition as stated in your advert i promise to give addition $50 if you remove the advert from Craigslist completely,so i will be rest assured am in hand of this item.

I will pay you as soon as possible tomorrow with USPS MONEY ORDER OR CERTIFIED CHECK,so i,ll be sending the payment to you via FedEx or ups and it will delivered.

So you need to provide me the information to facilitate the mailing of the payment

City, State and Zip Code ....................

Home & Cell Phone to contact you ..................

Note :I would forward all your details to my secretary to make the payment out to you fast and the payment will be shipped to your address via FedEx next day air service, and i will take care of the shipment of the item, as soon as you have the check cash, i will send my mover to come down to your address and pick the item,thanks and hope to hear from you as soon as possible.

Give him your phone # and see what happens! Note where he is calling from on your caller ID!

the wording doesn't sound like american phrassing to me! I'm woundering also??? But most skams want you to send them money first! If he sends you money first and then backs out I would not send him a refund until his check has COMPLETLY cleared! with the money in your account first!

to me Cragslist is a "1st with the cash gets the prize!"

Yah, that's what I was thinking. Scam. I noticed he didn't say anything about that I was selling. It probably is a form letter he sends out to everyone?

Had almost the same response to a CL listing- but he offered to pay my PayPal account.
Apparently these scammers pay with a stolen credit card, and the seller ends up eating it in the end. No protection by using Paypal as a 3rd party.
Don't even respond- he's already got your e-mail address to give his buddies.

It's a scam. You get his check go and deposit it at the bank. He then calls and backs out, needing the money back for some sob story. When you send him your good check, he cashes it, and then his fake check gets caught by the bank, and the money for that bad check is taken out of your account. Since you refunded him, your out the $550, and when the bank takes the other $550 for the fake check, you are out of luck. Sometimes, the secretary makes a mistake and sends you a check for $100 over the agreed price, and your then out even more money. Cash talks.

I've had the same response to ads I had on Craigslist. Don't even bother to reply, IT IS A SCAM. :smiley_aafz:

Scam!

I got this reply a few days ago from my craiglist ad:

"I am ready to purchase it asap.I anticipate that I'll have a Certified Check issued out to you from my bank.I'm in no rush with you till fund's are cleared in your bank which takes only a day. You do not have to bother yourself about the shipping. I'll instruct a Shipping Co Agent to come for pick up at your door,when you must have gotten your cash at hand. Kindly e-mail me back with your physical address such as Name,Address (NOT P.o.box) City, State, Zip-code, Phone Number.I will be sending the payment via Overnight FedEx Express Mail Delivery .You can delete the advert asap

Thanks"

I thought about giving him the address and phone number for my county sheriff... or state's attorney general....
