Nice pictures Egon. Looks like a one lunger type engine running the flatbelt? Some of us would kill for that silver age look of the lumber on the mills. LOL
From what I could tell of the decal the one engine was an Acadia probably built just down the street from where I live.
The blades had knock out carbide tips.
No idea as to age of the one engine [the other was boxed in so I could not see it], or when the saw platform was built. I'm pretty sure we saw some of the recently cut planks being used to construct a dock just up the road.
How apropriate, I have 3 oak logs in my woods I am thinking about getting to the saw mill. The wood just wont let me cut it down for the pizza oven, it's too pretty.
