Satoh Beaver Throw Out Bearing Return Spring

Split my tractor this weekend to replace the clutch and found a somewhat mangled spring in the bell housing. I'm assuming it's the throw out bearing return spring but no where in the manual I have says where to attach it to? Any help would be appreciated.

Manual is pretty worthless. 3-1 shows the spring. I just hooked it in the hole and the slots.View attachment Section 3_4 even.pdfView attachment Section 3_4 odd.pdf
