Around here in NW Oregon, I know of 2 montana dealers close by. One in beaverton where I got my grader blade and one in Astoria. I hope your company is successful Maka. :)

You guys need a private dealer only web more than you know. Someone step up to be the administrator. It will make you a better dealer with the ability to help your customers faster and keep an eye on what the "man" is doing?????? Zero cost and only Montana dealers on the site, this may be the cheapest source of information ever.

What would be the exact purpose of this dealer only web? Is it to exchange secret info? Talk about real dealer issues and how to fix them? I would nominate you to be the administrator anyone second the nomination?

I'd just like to see some of these guys with the claims of "secret knowledge" actually post something concrete instead of the continued BS. Even just a post that actually made sense would help.

HEY since they know so much maybe they can tell us: Who really shot JFK?

I rest my case.:D:p:cool::eek: Just remember your beef is with Farmtrac, not the company that bought out their sad remains.

I still maintain that you don't know squat and all the screaming is just falsehoods and fearmongering. If I am wrong, post verifyable FACTS.

I never said being a dealer was easy, but I don't see from your profile that where ever a Farmtrac dealer or a Montana dealer. What is your beef? How is trying to cost Monatan dealers sales fattening your wallet?

i have been holding this back for some time there seems to be some, vendettas against montana, if their products suck or their business practices suck then sure. but to go after them because they purchased a failed business, i could only hope that this purchase could help past farmtrac customers possibly with a new source of parts. ls is not escort, montana is not escort, so i dont see why one would try to trash montanas reputation. why is it such an issue that montana is such a new company, all companys were new at one point.

As Maka knows. I faced the same decision and had no choice but the terminate with Montana. The territory that I am in needs some serious development, and it hasn't happened. Most would think that having no same brand competition near by would be a great thing, but a potential customer looking at a brand new tractor, wants to know what service alternatives they have, and the four closest dealers to me had all thrown in the towel!

Every territory is different but all I hear these days is, "Do you have anything used?" It seems folks these days are shopping for bottom line only, and then they regret what they bought later....

I still do parts and service, but the interest due on tractors just sitting here was literally killing me and I had to get out.

Some of the big brands are producing some real low spec stuff these days to offer a low bottom line, and a lot of potential customers just don't have to mechanical knowledge to see that what I was offering was a better value!

I tried without success to find any information on this on the web. Can you give us a link to the source for your information? I would be surprised that a major Korean manufacturer (Kukje) would sell their company owned outlet (Branson Tractors) to Montana, and neither company's website has any indication.

Thanks

"The potential merger........." For me, I think Montana is making a wise move and Ted Wade is a very, very smart man. Good Job Montana!

It's fact about Montana handling Kukje's US distribution.... rumor has it Kukje is in fact considering selling Branson (and Montana would be the likely buyer since they don't have anybody to make tractors for them after parting ways with LS)... though this may just be propaganda....

I believe that Barry works for the local Montana dealer here in SD County. They have been in business for a loooooog time and a Montana dealer for the last 4-5 years. They always have more than a hand full of tractors on hand. They most likely can help you out.

Good luck
