I have an old Sabre model 530 5' rotary cutter. It is missing the bottom seal. Anyone know what size it uses? If not, how would I measure the OD and thickness? I'm assuming the ID would be equal to the shaft OD, or do I go a little smaller?

I also have a Sabre model 530 5' rotary cutter and the gearbox seals are gone. Cutter is great, but I'd like to stop using the fill it full of grease method of lubrication, put the correct seals in place and fill with the gear oil that it is suppose to have. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated! Help please!

I had to take the gearbox off to get to the bottom flange. Took it to the local seal company, they measured and sold me the new one. The bottom seal is (going from memory from 2 weeks ago) 2-3/8" OD x 1-1/2" ID. I didn't pull the top seal. Replace the gasket; mine had a bunch of cracks.
