I have been fighting the PTO safety switch for a couple winters now with my snow blower. When i drive it backwards without hitting the button near the PTO switch it shuts down the PTO. Its a pain. I get safetys but with the seat safety what is the point of the 2nd one. Anyone disconnect that safety or have an idea how to do it? I feel the seat safety is sufficient and will shut the tractor down if the PTO is engaged and i de-seat. Thanks for any advice.

When you activate the PTO it opens or closes a switch. Track down the switch and configure it such that it "thinks" the PTO is inactive. Once you have the configuration figured out you can leave it that way or duplicate that configuration by leaving the switch disconnected, adding a jumper wire, or whatever it takes.

Thank you. Your advice got me in the right direction. Found the switch at the shift linkage on the reverse side. i unplugged the switch and PTO does not disconnect when i hit reverse. All better. Several feet of new snow here and drifts to 4ft. Lots of work to do....
