My neighbor husband passed a year and a half ago and she asked me go and get her little Mitsubishi tractor started today. After I got the little tractor going she asked me if I knew anyone who needed a big welder, she thought it had a cummins engine. She opened the shed and there was the Lincoln SA250 with leads and remote rheostat and a three cylinder Perkins not a Cummings. The hour meter showed 3800, what is this package worth? Trying to help her sell it

That's what I thought, I would think these machines sell higher than that. Thanks SA for the link

I don't know much about the value of SA-250s. Through out the Mid West SA-200 can go as much as $5,000.00 I paid $200.00 for this one, turned down $3,700.00 for it, and made the guy mad!

The red faces are more sought after then the black face. What all did you have to do to be able to burn a rod. I gave 200.00 for a Hobart 303 and it burns real good.

Pipe weldors really go after the Short hoods. Yes the Red Face machines are more sought after than the Black Face machines. That Red Face I posted the picture of did not weld when I bought it. 15-minutes after I unloaded it I had it welding. I just had to free up the brushes. Then I painted it.

That's only 3 of Shield Arcs SA200 collection.:D SA250's are a good machine. The 3 cylinder Perkins is the same engine in an MF 135, outstanding engine! One of the concerns I've heard about the SA250's is that if the idle is too low, they will vibrate and the rad supports will crack. I think turning up the idle a bit would solve that problem. The may have fixed the problem on the later models? If the cable's in good shape, it's worth a bunch too. Even in bad shape, copper brings a good price. Remotes cost $500 and up. Get it running where people can weld with it. I think I'd ask in the $3200-$3500 range.

Yes those are mine, a long with these two.
Like I said before , in the Mid West these machines sell higher than any other location in the states. A guy here locally has had a SA-250 on Craigs list for well over a year, asking $3,800.00.
