Spoke with my dealer today and was asking him about the S3010. He said that LS had discontinued that model and it had been replaced by the G series. Can anybody confirm this? They still show the S series on the web site.

I think mostly they just changed the numbers. The equivalent models just have a few improvements, but the basic tractor is mostly unchanged. I have an R4010, but it's mostly a 4041 with the loader joystick moved and slightly larger roll-back cylinders than a stock 4010 (my cylinders have been upgraded to the ones that come on the 4041/47).
No idea why the website has it still listed. I know rco tractor in texas stopped listing them almost a yr ago when the existing inventory was sold. A dealer near me in Pa told me a yr and a half ago that he could no longer order the S3010 but he had 4 in stock. Personally I like the G series gear over the S because the G has 3 ranges vs 2.

LS doesn't ever seem to up their web-site. The same news is there that was there in 2010. Really wish they would up date it, maybe even show the new cab models that are coming out and the changes that are coming with the new tier 4 requirements.

The S3010 was discontinued. I suspect it is still on the LS website as some still are out on some dealers lots. we never could keep that model in stock. New G series replaces it has several changes, G series has 12x12 shuttle (s3010 was 8x8), Helical cut final drive gears run smoother and quieter. More conventional side mounted shifter being the main improvements. Nothing wrong with the S3010, it really broke the ice for us with LS. I suppose improved features brings a little higher price and perhaps better margins for the company.
