She's a beauty ain't she? Locks up tight as a vault. Trigger (DA) is smooth as silk, no stack or hitches. Points like an extension of my hand. Picked it up locally last week.
It's the holy grail of S&W's (for me). Been after one for awhile. I'm still a big fan of the 586's but the 15's are pure beauty to my eye. It's going on a tractor ride this weekend, although I may line my holster with silk! ;-)
eta: The smooth target grips (factory) are somewhat rare and add a hefty premium to the gun. The grain is beautiful. I think it's got some crotchwood in it.

I got a sw hog leg,but just kill snakes with a stick. Now, shot a possum and a coon in past few months with it,but was called out by my dog,,snakes generally slip up on me,,not armed....

I see snakes a lot when bush hogging, sometimes they are blacksnakes (they get a pass) but other times they are copper heads. They get lead poison, from the tractor seat. Ain't no stick long enough for me!

Yeah,hear that,them copperheads are nasty little snakes,seen them jump about 3/4 of their length to try and strike somebody,but never heard of one getting anybody on a tractor,used to get them mowing with a syth,,takes two people,one to hold him down and one to cut his head off. We did that with timber rattlers too. will say a copper head is more dangerous than a rattlesnake.
