RV Inventories?

Anyone here with experience in RV sales?

When I drive by RV sales lots, I am amazed by the inventories of new RVs that those folks carry. I am curious as to who is financing those inventories.

Gosh, I hope not. It seems to me that the manufacturers have to be financing the inventories and are using the dealers as parking lots.

I don't know the answer but I got one in my driveway that some one can have for $100.

I went but the auction sales in Tucson yesterday and there must have been 300 RV's at least in the auction yard.

Well I can understand why. The huge dislike of USA made products in this country has caused vacation travelers and campers to wait for the Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indian versions.

In Roanoke VA, the Camping World has a lot of the big RVs (class A type) just sitting there.. I cant imagine that they sell 1/2 of those in a good year around here..

I hope the dealer is not having to pay floorstock on the inventories..

Are you asking for $100 or giving $100 to someone to take it?

I've told my wife that if I ever express a desire to purchase an RV that she should just go ahead and shoot me.

Most likely the dealers have a floor plan. Financing may not be all that expensive with interest rates so low.

I've noticed the exact same thing, in several midwest states. I'm simply amazed at the # of units in these huge lots, wondering why don't they cut production? Surely the market is flooded now.......

Great, just when I'm thinking of selling my slide-in this summer!
