Pretty interesting, including the German connection.

Wow, I am amazed at how well it seems to be preserved. What a piece of history!

That was wicked cool. The paint is still good on it and the drive-train was turning. The lack of oxygen must of helped preserve it, like those mummies they find in the peat bogs.

I often imagine what treasures are still buried and forgotten from WW2.

On one of the articles it mentioned that the peatmoss that covered the tank protected it.

I find it incredible that no oil leaked out and they only had to replace some bearings to get it operational.

What about the 116 live shells in the tank?
That made the towing out a unknowingly dangerous event...

Actually my first feeling was very eerie/scary. Seeing that German insignia, knowing it was original and painted by real Nazis, not by some history buff.

Think what it would be like, separated from your unit at night, somewhere in the Arden. You hear that rumbling coming down the road, not knowing is it ours or theirs, it stops close to your position, then with the moonlight thru the forest.... you see that Baltic Cross !
And we talk about the "pucker factor" here with our tractors

Yes there was some bonus material on that site :D
