Mahindra 2540
I received an email promo from RK touting their tractors, which I believe are made by TYM in Korea, which is the same company that the 2500 Series Mahindra comes from. RK37S Tractor | RK Tractors If you're in the market for a TYM or Mahindra, these babies are the splittin' image. What's amazing is the pricing they offer, which includes rim guard filled tires and a set of rear hydraulic remotes. What really surprised me was the 37 Series loader specs, which are a c-hair above my 2540, which is a step above the 2438 and anything in that price range. And they come with a big 8-year powertrain warranty. As always, the question about service after the sale remains. RK claims they have a fully trained technician at each store and parts availability. RK has been around a long time, and based on my experience with them over the years, they're gonna be around for quite awhile. It will take some time for some TBN members who have purchased these tractors to have some experience under their belts dealing with RK on warranty issues to see how it's working. The TYM product is well proven with their own brand and with Mahindra, so it will be interesting to hear about new RK tractor owners' experiences.

I look at it this way, I wouldn't shop for a car or a tractor at CVS or Walmart.

You wouldn't, but there will be lots and lots of people who will. Price and new vs. used will drive a LOT of people to buy these in my opinion.

There is this thing called common sense, some people got it some don't.

Agree.....my $29K used Grand L5740 cab or a brand new RK55 cab. Out of 100 people looking for a 50 something horse cab tractor, how many are going to purchase the tried and true used kubota with 320 hours or the brand new RK55 that no one's *** crack has touched yet?

Locally (Mayfield KY) a long term lawn mower and chainsaw shop has filled their oversized parking lot (old grocery story) with 15+ new Mahindra's large to small. Some cabs but all were 4WD with loaders. They must be looking for new sales outlets like crazy.

Frankly I wouldn't buy from any dealer who can't provide services offered by the warranty and I don't think Mahindra has any business sitting up dealerships like that. If I were a real dealership I'd be PO'd.

Around here those who farm for a living seem to do business with dealership with parts and an well equipped fleet of heavy service trucks for on-site service.

Hobby level tractor users can get away with little to no service. I expect parts and service is the key to positive cash flows of many real deal dealers.

I believe your first statement is right on.

But I think many weekend and suburban farmers don't have the knowledge, skills, or physical abilities to do their own service and/or repair work. Unbelievable how many SCUTs and CUTs our local dealership gets in just to do routine maintenance procedures.
