Does anyone have any experience with the Country Way rotary tillers from RK? They have a 6ft for $1499, and info under questions make it sound like they are made by Sigma Power Products out of Florida. Here is a link 6 Foot Rotary Tiller with PTO ShaFoot RT6 ..... Also does anyone know about parts availability on these? I'm also considering a Cherokee RT6 from a local implement supplier for $1925. I know Cherokee has a good reputation and makes the Bush Hog tillers. At this point, I'm still debating between tillers and discs for making a couple acres of food plots in old abandoned farm fields.

After comparing photos and some of the parts shown on the Agri Supply website, I'm also pretty sure this is the same tiller as they sell under the tillovator name. Can anyone confirm if these are in fact the same? Here is a link to that one: Rotary Tiller, Rototiller, Tillovator | Agri Supply 77711

For a "couple acres" I think a tiller would be fine.
The Sigma Power Products tiller looks like it is significantly under built, as compared to my King Kutter.
I thought RK had been selling (yellow) KK tillers but painted red.
RK apparently found a cheaper supplier, but it sure does look like cheaper construction also.

They do also have the RK by KK tillers but those are about $500 more, I'm not disagreeing that the KK looks to be built a little better, especially the clevis style hitch.

My soil is very sandy loam.
The Sigma Power Products tiller looks to be light duty, and maybe would work Ok for me.
If you have clay or rocky soil, I would suggest a tiller more sturdily constructed than the Sigma one.

A tiller is a lifetime purchase.
Unless you are more than 75 years old....buy a higher quality tiller.
My 60" KK is a true brute, though there certainly higher quality tillers as well.

Blain's Farm & Fleet in Wisc. sometimes has sales on KK tillers.
Their shipping is very cheap, and there would be no sales tax.
I have had several KK items shipped 1,000 miles from Blain's.

For ground contact implements to penetrate properly you need implement weight. There is no down pressure on the Three Point Hitch.

Weight means tiller components must be built sufficiently heavy to withstand stress. Watching any video of a tiller in action will demonstrate the stress.

I think you are considering buying primarily on price which will lead to buyer's remorse in the field.

I had a KK rotary cutter for several years. It was fine. Sold the KK rotary cutter with my first Kubota.

Do not attempt to till dry/hard soil.

If RK's website is to be believed, this tiller is 804 lbs. And the King Kutter is 721lbs.

From the look of the website pictures......I don't believe that tiller could be 93lbs. heavier than my KK.

Here is a photo of the Country Way and the KK side by side. It sure looks to me like the CW is an almost exact copy of the KK, now that is not saying that material quality is anywhere close to the same, but it appears they look almost identical. Capture.PNG

I've seen some dead KK tillers with the side gears stripped out, I sure wouldn't want anything lighter built that a KK!
