My Ford 3500 starts and runs great with the clutch depressed. When I try to let the clutch out it sounds as if the tractor wants to move but does not. Even trying to put it in neutral it feels like its engaged when letting the clutch out but again it won't move and sounds like its going to stall. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you pressed on the brakes and they are locked on?. Bang them again to release them.

With the engine turned off, can you put the transmission in gear, depress the clutch, and push/pull the tractor with another vehicle? It sounds like your input shaft to the transmission is binding or maybe the PTO if your tractor has a dual stage clutch. By pushing the tractor in gear with the clutch depressed, you will be trying to move the transmission by the wheels rolling rather than when you have the engine running. If the input shaft is bound up, you will probably be able to move the tractor in neutral, but not move it in any gear with the clutch depressed.

Do you live where the temperature has been below freezing? If you have water in your transmission or rear end and it freezes it will not move until it thaws. good luck Frank

With the tractor shut off and in neutral can you roll it. I am wondering if the trans is in 2 gears at the same time.

Does sound like an old Chevy or GM column shift car when worn would get between first and second. Usually realigning the linkage under the hood would get you going. Have you pulled the shift cover to look?

It sounds like your clutch/pressure plate is froze up. I have seen this happen. My TC 30 came with a small block that you are supose to use when storing the tractor to prevent this. I am not sure of the exact procedure but I watched a mechenic break one loose on a old Ford Workmaster by driving the tractor kinda of hard in a high gear and turning. I belive he was trying to get the clutch to slip a bit to break it free. Good Luck
