RTV900 tires for beach sand

I am getting close to ordering a Worksite. I will use the Worksite at the beach in the summer. I will be in southwest Louisianna where the beach sand is thick and soft. My dealer told me the best tires for soft beach sand was the HDWS tires. Does anyone disagree? If so, which tires sould I order it with? Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

My opinion is that you should be fine with the HDWS tires. We have a lot of sand here in Michigan and what we tend to do is deflate the tires so that they float over the loose sand. You may not have to do that though but if you do have any problems that will take care of it. Be careful to release only as much air as you need to float, otherwise you may break the air seal around at the bead. Have fun! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Been offline for awhile so just catching up now.
I agree with rtvman the HDWS should be fine.

Just to throw something out, I thought I read someone that does almost exclusive sand riding actually took the HDWS off and put car tires on the rims. The thread might be on www.ridesidebyside.com but I'm not sure.
