Got it. Love it! Man what a machine. Can't get my kids and wife off of it. Took it through the mud, no problem. Has the atv tires. Looking for an ausum machine, can't go wrong with this animal. Wireless works from about 30 feet away. Thanks to fellow posters for help on getting the winch installed. Did it a little different. Had a bracket made for the solenoid and the fairlead. Winch bolted right to the plate that comes on the RTV. Put the toggel where the er flasher would go.

Sounds sweet!!! Is the winch that useful? I was pondering the idea but couldn't really come up with a situation that I would need a winch. Do you use it to pull the RTV out when stuck? Pull other ATV's out?

Thanks,
Chuck

I've used the Ramsey wireless to pull out my mower, pull downed trees and limbs from storms, and pull itself out. After blocking the wheels, the wireless remote makes it perfect to operate by yourself. Without it I always had to shout instructions to who ever was on the vehicle. This way, if I need a branch moved 1 foot so I can cut some more, I just bump the little wireless remote myself. No miscommunication etc. I made my wife use it last time she put the mower in the lake. I'm almost afraid that she thought it was too much fun! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Yes, I can see now where this would be a handy accessory!

It would be great for the small chores that you dont wanna get the tractor out for.

And the wireless option would definitely be the way to go.

I installed the Ramsey 3000 wireless on my new RTV Worksite yesterday. It is a really nice winch. Installation was not a problem. Here are some misc. notes that may help others contemplating installation:

1. The battery lead wires that came with the Ramsey winch WERE plenty long to reach the battery. In fact, I had over a foot left over I had to loop and tie out of the way.

2. No mounting kit was necessary on the Worksite model. The winch bolts onto the already existing plate perfectly. The only additional hardware needed is a bracket for the fairlead. You can get just the Fairlead Bracket from Kubota. It is part number K7561-91430. TractorSmart lists this on their site for $31.30. I assume this bracket would work with the Ramsey Fairlead. I built a bracket with materials I already had.

3. A switched power lead is needed in addition to the power from the battery. I simply used the one already in place on the RTV for the Kuboa/Warn wich option. This is under the hood lid and very convenient.

All other aspects of the winch installation have pretty much been covered in other posts.

So far, the RTV (and the winch) are great!

You are lucky, the cables shipped with my Ramsey and Dargo's were about two feet too short. Maybe Ramsey caught onto the fact that the cables were too short and started supplying longer cables. That wireless remote is great isn't it!

I had the same thought about the cables. If Ramsey did indeed react to their customer needs this way, it says a lot.

Yup, I agree. Dozernut was the trailblazer for the wireless Ramsey winch for the RTV's, but when I got mine the power cables were too short as well. Dozernut knows this well as he was kind enough to do most of my installation since I only had one usable arm at the time. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I will admit, just like the phone, wireless is the way to go; even with winches.

I did not have a problem either. Cable was plenty long enough. Expected to have to get another one based upon help from Dozernut and others. I did have a bracket made that bolts to the plate where the winch goes that I attached the fairlead to. I had them put elongated holes in it so I could adjust it to fit perfect. Bad part (or good, depending on how you look at it) is that I have not used the winch once yet. But, I have that sense of security, and yet I still have not gotten stuck (knock on wood).
My thanks again to those who helped.

Thanks for the part # on the fairlead mount!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The local dealer here told me I had to buy the whole winch mount and only use the fairlead mount.
So I just ordered the part you referenced and will now go buy my Ramsey winch. (I have a Warn 3.0ci sitting on a shelf ready to install but reading through the reviews of the Ramsey, it's going to stay on the shelf).
