Has anyone seen a slip scoop for the front of a RVT?

Seems to me if there is a hydraulic lift for a dozer blade, the blade could be removed and replaced with a scoop.

They have them for ZTR's and Ventracs, so shouldn't there be one for RTV's?

Any input or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

I haven't seen anything like that but if there was something I am sure you would have to beef up the front suspension to accomodate it.

Dave,

I agree with Kevin that the suspension will need a major upgrade (and probably more than what's currently available).

The other things I'm pondering are:
It'll require a lot more lift (height) than what the plow has so you could dump.
Visibility (both for digging and dumping)
Whether a winch would work instead of hyd.

How about a "johnny bucket"? It doesn't lift that high, but will move small amounts of material. They have a universal model that might be adapted. It seems to me that if a stamped sheet metal lawn mower can handle one of these, an RTV would easily do it. Take a look here http://www.johnnyproducts.com/

Good luck, Lorn.

Something like that could work.

Dave - have you considered one of these for your F2400?

I didn't look at all the different pages but it appears they're about 42" wide and have a max. capacity of 200#. I have no idea but I'm wondering if it could be easily damaged considering the size/power of the RTV.

It ceases to amaze me how inventive us American's are when it comes to our tools! I would think something like this "Johnny bucket" would work great on a RTV! Having said that, I wouldn't want to move more then a few cubic yards of soil at any one time. For the little odds and heavy ends around the house, why not? Thanks for posting that.

Lorn,

I like that one better. Although it doesn't specifically list its capabilities I think it may be better suited for the RTV.
It also appears to stick out a bit further providing a view of the bucket from the seat.
Using the winch is a plus since most of us have a winch mounted anyway. (Dave - if you don't have one, you may want to consider a winch).

many thanks for posting the information. Had no idea this existed. Looked at the website, should go back and look again, just wondering how hard it is to connect and disconnect the thing.
