RTV hard cab

Has anyone been able to buy a hard cab for their RTV? For that matter even seen one for sale? My dealer, Zimmerer, has said cab's now won't be available until June! &^%$(*&. I would already have an RTV if they'd had the advertised accessories available. If I have to wait until June I will probably check with Exxex to see if theirs is ready yet. I have an Essex cab on my Mule 550 that I've been very happy with for several years. The price will certainly be better than Kubota's.

I have a hard cab for my RTV. It is a Curtis Cab sold by Kubota. If you go down to the thread, Finally Got My Kubota RTV, I have posted pictures of mine.
I got my cab through my Kubota dealer and it sure is a nice one. I think your dealer has been misinformed or they ( kubota) ran out of stock. You could contact Curtis Cabs direct and see if they have them in stock.

This may sound obvious to some but does the hard cab give you a 360 degree seal from the elements.? Every photo I've seen looks like it's open in the back with just the screen being there. That doesn't sound logical as they also sell a heater and that would not be too efficient.

There is 360 degree protection from the elements and the heater warms it up quite well. The back screen is covered with a Plexiglass window. The windshield and doors are safety glass.

Drove on with the windsheild yesterday. Its expensive, but like the rest of the RTV you can see why. Its good quality and is curved to fit the contours of the cab area.

BTW, we just got one last week for one of our RTVs (from Curtis Cab) so you should be able to get one as well.

OK - I've been convinced this is the way to go and just put a deposit on a RTV900 Worksite at Ahearn's in Spencer, MA. Even got about $100 off list which I think is a good deal. I'll be using it mainly to plow so I got the steel cab, wiper, heater, HD springs and the plow. Also had them add the bed liner and some work lights.

I hate to spend this much without a test drive but I don't think that can happen as they seem to be sold before they arrive. I test drove a new JD HPX 4x4 and found the steering very heavy. The power steering on the RTV900 should solve that problem

I forgot to ask the salesman but does anyone know what the deal is with the Auxilary Control Valve that's standard on the Turf model. This would be the same as the hydraulic PTO? Can the other models have this added on aftermarket? Does the Worksite model already have the hydraulic system installed seeing how it comes standard with the bed lift?

My understanding, the "hydraulic control valve" is the same as rear remotes on a tractor. The worksite model comes with the bed lift but only the turf model comes with the control valve. I'm sure the rear remote could be useful for something, but I'm not sure what without a 3. hitch; perhaps Kubota's planning a line of hydraulically-controlled tow-behind implements? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif As to adding them aftermarket, it's surely like plumbing in auxiliary remotes on a tractor.

FYI, the remotes are a really expensive option. If you want them get them upfront.

The only difference between the Worksite and the Turf model, besides the style of tire, is the Control Valve and there's only a $300 difference between the two.

There's no mention of the Control Valve as an option in the Accessory Manual although they do list the Bed Lift as a option for the models that don't have it as standard equipment.

Just curious if the models other that the Turf have the capability to be upgraded with the Control Vave or is there some reason if it's not installed at the factory that it can never be installed.
