Here is a couple pics of my homemade bed debris blocker. I've seen some aftermarket kits that go for about $150.00! I have about $20 in this. I used a 4 inch x 5ft piece of baler belting from TSC and a strip of aluminum and a couple pop rivets and works very well.

When I load it with dirt from my front end loader it always seems that some of it would fall between the bed and the cab and it would cover the engine, mainly on top of the valve cover and around the fuel lines.

That explains my lack of a debris problem. I use my RTV mainly to haul around my brush clearing equipment (chainsaws, brush cutter, etc.) in the cooler months and spraying equipment in the warmer months.

Nice work.

What are you hauling that creates a debris problem?

GREAT IDEA and WORK!!!!!!!!

Lets see, lots of soil that I dump into the bed, gravel, chips from my chipper shredder, manure as I clean out the sheds..............LOTS of stuff and pretty much anything as one uses a bucket to load/overload the bed of the RTV. Really great idea............God bless..........Dennis

Fantastic!

Excellent idea and it gave me an idea how to further reinforce mine. The front of my bed is bowed forward so much from abuse it catches on the plastic shield when I dump. I have bent it back many times but once toy wrinkle the formed top edge, it won't straighten right. I am going to make a heavier bar than yours and use it to clamp a rubber seal like yours. That should be a permanent fix.

good idea...thanks for sharing...I use a noodle in the space to block out heat and noise...I think this might be a more elegant solution:thumbsup:

A quick question or two:

I went to the TSC web site and they have 4" and 7". Did you use which??

Wondering if this stuff seems stiff enough to do:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...roblem.html?highlight=back+blade+snow+removal

just look at the first set of pictures PLEASE............I think I would get enough for the RTV fix and maybe to double it up to use as the snow blade fix............or perhaps even just one layer of it.......

THOUGHTS??????....................God bless.............Dennis

I used the 4 inch by 5ft baler belting from TSC. That stall mat would probably work to. I'm glad to see that post I have been looking for some ideas to keep my snowblade from tearing up my driveway!

But wondering if the baler belt would work for the blade idea instead of using the horse stall stuff...........I would buy enough of the belt to use to do my blade and the RTV...........come out cheaper and the scrap is useful for MANY MANY little jobs........???????????.............THANKS..........God bless.......Dennis
