Any thoughts experience with the windshield options out there? Is the dealer option a good one? I don't want the soft one, but it would be great if there was one that could be dropped half way down or easily taken off when wanted. Pics would be great. Thanks again.

I went though this as well and went with the factory set up. The upper 90% is glass and the lower removable piece is poly. The glass doesn't scratch like the plastic does. So it's a good choice.

The lower poly piece scratches just by looking at it. I also installed a rear window. It's poly as well and scratches easily. That back piece cost $300, so the ease of damage to this is very annoying.

What you will probably find is that once the windshield is on, there is a negative pressure situation that causes air to blast in from the back. That's why I put the rear thing on.

I'll get you some pictures, my last computer blew up last night, so I lost what I have.

Wish they would have designed it so that the whole thing was glass and designed a flip out so that the hood can be opened.

I rattles a little bit, but all and all, it's good.

I got a Seizmik windshield and a soft top with back window. As timsw says, you really need a back window with a windshield if drive on any dirt that can generate dust. Seizmik windshield is hard plastic, but in 40 hours so far it has not really scratched significantly even though I have swatted it may times with branches driving through the woods. The lower piece that seals between the windshield and hood is soft plastic that easily detaches. There is a couple Velcro straps you release so it can fold it up to open the hood. The back window is soft plastic and can be rolled up. There are a couple of straps to hold the back window when it is rolled.
