i had a round bucket in past and about the only thing you could do was back drag using the front bucket edge. I somewhat recently got a Kubota that has flat back bucket. It also has a small maybe 4 inch 45 degree piece between bottom and flat back. I pretty much rests on the ground when bucket is curled back.. I have found this to work really well in both back dragging and also going forward. It actually works best going forward. I thought it would float up and just ride over the pile but it only does so for a inch or so and leaves a nice spread. If I were you I would repost this under general operating in the not brand specific. I think you will get more responses and I would be interested in reading them.
