Round baler belts

Has anyone used round-baler belts to run saw mandrel or thresher or other vintage stuff , Would it work ?

You'd have to splice a bunch together for a thresher. I have a friend who uses conveyor belt for that. Somehow he can cut the correct width off and have a long enough belt.
