I put my backhoe controls behind the front seat, and then I just rotate and operate controls kneeling in main seat with butt resting lightly on steering wheel, completely isolated from the abrupt movements of sitting on top of my backhoe...Greatest thing since sliced tractor bread...

I'm looking at small CUT backhoes and none of them seem to have this. The dealer I talked to today, after he realized I didn't work for OSHA, pulled me aside and said "get a cane" (to operate the hydro when facing rearwards). Why in the heck isn't this a standard feature? How hard is it to have a secondary hydro control?
Anyway, it's something I wonder about, will this drive me nuts? Dig a few feet, get off, reverse the seat, sit back down, drive 4 feet, get up, reverse the seat again, dig a few more feet. It's crazy that anyone thinks that is a good idea. I can already say, I'm going to be a "cane guy" or get off and operate the hydro from the side of the tractor. Neither of which is 1/2 as safe as just having a secondary "creep" as a standard on a BH.

I was wasting time at the Kubota place one day and noticed a rotating seat on a B series Kubota. It was much more cumbersome than my double sear tractor backhoe. The real backhoes like a M59 or full size TLB have a large platform and a rotating seat. I’m not a big fan of mini excavators. It might be an unpopular opinion but I like backhoes a lot better.
On my B26TLB I can switch from loader to backhoe by turning the seat 90 degree and stepping over it. Its a pretty tight fit but sure beats getting mud on your boots. I disabled the safety on the seat rotating mechanism and with my trusty stick I can move the tractor around while facing backward. Of course you should always do that on a level surface.
