Rotary cutter/brush hog

I have a problem and hope I can get some help here.
I have an old 5' brush hog - I think that it is an international but not sure as there are no markings left when I bought it used several years ago.
The gear box is square. And the only markings on the gear box is Warner. I believe the gear box was made by Warner of Auburn Ind. and know that they have been out of business for 15-20 years.
The pinion gears are shot.
I have not found replacement parts as yet.
Does any one have any info or suggestions.
I have looked at replacement gear boxes but they will not fit as the current set up - gear box - fits between two vertical supports where it attaches to the deck and the output shaft goes thru a square opening in the deck. And the replacement gear box output shaft was not long enough to reach the blade housing/mounting bar.
Can anyone make a suggestion/info for finding replacement parts or swapping out or replacing the gear box or the pinion gears?

Does anyone know of any aftermarket places for substitution if I can not find the original parts?
Or a place that I can find information on matching/substituting parts?

I have an IM502 mower made by International World Agritech. I have done some research on INt'l and there are several places that can source parts for them. I did not dig all this info up by myself, most of it is from someone else (unknown or I would give them credit) who uncovered the majority of it.

The International line, aka World Agritech Corporation, was a farm implement company owned by a Robert Taylor in Bethel, Ohio. It went out of business in 2006, but its product line was then cont'd by International Techologies, owner Rick Hughes. A couple years later, that company again went out of business but was then taken on by Hawkline
Nevada International in Mount Orab, Ohio. Depending on when the product was produced, the implement may be marked as International, World Agritech Corporation, International Technologies, or International by Hawkline. Regardless of how it's named, little has changed on the International rotary cutters, plows, and discs which continue to be made here in America.
A point of confusion to some customers has been that when Robert Taylor owned the implement company, he imported tons of cheap European (mostly Italian) implements and put the WAC name on them. Some of the brands that were retooled as WAC implements include Caroni, Galfre, Cosmo, Agrex, Sicma, and others. Since the brand seems to be so shrouded in mystery, I hope this would shed some light on the situation.

For parts, I would start first with Curt Howard Company, Incorporated (C.H.E. Inc) one of the biggest dealers and distributors for International equipment who is responsible for the International brand's widespread appearance throughout the Midwest. His website lists prices for all the farm equipment he sells:

Here is the rough cut mowers section. They actually list spec's and parts lists for some of the Int'l mowers.

Good post, very informative. I had seen that the Hawkline name was on the newer international cutters I ran across, but I never new the history.
