During ground contact work bare tractor weight indicates tractor capability.The fundamental importance of TRACTOR WEIGHT eludes many tractor shoppers. Heavier tractor weight is more important for most tractor applications than increased tractor horsepower. Bare tractor weight is a tractor specification easily found in sales brochures and web sites, readily comparable across tractor brands and tractor models, new and used.
I suggest a King Kutter (brand), 'XC' model, Middlebuster/Subsoiler combination or a Dirt Dog (brand) All Purpose Plow with three (3) shanks. The Dirt Dog APP may or may not be functional with your subcompact tractor Three Point Hitch. Check with Dirt Dog.
1,444 pounds tractor weight is very limiting. The draft force resistance of pulling either implement through MOIST soil will leave little traction for cutting roots. Many roots will stop the tractor.
