Rolled roofing shrinkage

That old standby for farm buildings must be a victim of costcutting; yesterday I went up to fix a leak around my camp chimney & discovered that the felt had pulled away from the nails & the only thing holding it on was the strips of tar.
I hadn't planned on a new roof until I built my real house next year. Oh well, at least it's only 3 squares, won't take that long

I had to replace some last year. Was 10 years old and got south sun but it's a pain to take the old off and put on the new. Same thing, part of the problem was shrinkage.
