rolled over

I rolled my dk45s. it ran less than 30 seconds on its side. after we uprighted it the engine oil pressure light was on and it will not crank. it won't even turn over. ????? any thoughts appreciated.

hope you are ok !,

i would be checking to see if there is any oil in the cylinders causing it to hydraulic lock, pull out the glow plugs and turn it over by hand a few times then try cranking it over on the starter.
also check that the acid didnt run out of the battery giving you a flat battery !
with a bit of luck no engine damage has occured.

Holy Cow Will! It appears you had applied the safety measures to keep you on the correct side of the rops!

I'm a "roller" too, as my Jinma and I took a dump a few years back. Fortunately, it started right up, even though it had been on it's side for at least 45 minutes. I agree with XCat's advice, get some air in there and get the oil out of the cylinders. Good luck!

Glad your ok. Can you give the specifics of the roll? I have a DK40 and have had it on 3 wheels more than once....I do not like that feeling at all.
Any pic's?

I think X Cat has it right sounds like hydraulic lock. Take out the glow plugs and try to turn it over then. The only other thing I can think of is an electrical issue. A disconnect of some kind.

For what it's worth, you can widen the track of the rear wheels by switching around the wheel center and the rim. It may not have helped you but it may in the future.

Will glad you are ok, just wondering since my brother's name is William Thompson what part of the world you live in. As close to turning a rig over I have ever come to for it to remain level was on his place as I spun around with boom mower and left front wheel went out over a large ditch but cutter's weight kept weight lite on that wheel. Thanks God!
