I've thought about one for my 4610 as well. The thing that kept me away was the weights of the rock buckets I've seen. I was thinking of trying out a 48" rock bucket as it would weigh the least and and also dig more effectively.

It would be much easier for me to find a used one if I had a skid steer QA setup.

Bradco makes a 55" rock bucket for compact tractors that only weighs 278 pounds and comes equipped with a quick attach hitch.

55" is not enough to cover my front tire tracks so I don't think that would work well. It's going to have to be at least 60" but preferably 66"

There may be some other mfgs out there that make a lightweight one in those widths but i'm not aware of any. Although it is generally preferred to get an attachment that is as wide as your tracks, I don't think it is as critical with a rock bucket.

I have a 66" bradco rock bucket, it is a touch heavy but it gets the job done. I would rather it be a touch heavy than too light and break it. My rears are loaded and I have to have my BB attached or it will pick up the rearend when I have a full bucket or as full as I can get it. You will run out of lift capacity before you get a 100% full bucket of dirt and rock. But when shaking out rocks from dirt you don't want a full bucket.

I also use my rock bucket to pick up all kinds of other debris. It is much better than the regular bucket at moving around limbs and sticks. I got a reall good deal on mine used or I proabably would have gotten a lighter one if buying new.

Why do you care about covering your tracks with a rock bucket? A plow blade I get, but a rock bucket is used in a field/woods so it shouldn't matter if it covers your treads, should it?

if you are scooping up rocks and your front tires go up on rocks it will lift the bucket off the ground and make accuracy very difficult

Virnig has some wider ones but I think a narrow one would be fine.

I agree with the others on the width. If your bucket is, say 72" wide, a 66" rock bucket would be fine.
