I notice RK has King Cutter 72" land graders for the rk37 but doesn't sell them branded for the rk24. Royal King and other places sell King Cutter 60" land graders.

What is everyone's thoughts on running a land grader behind an rk24?
Any chance one could safely and effectively run a 72" land grader behind an rk24?
Is a 60" land grader getting to be too narrow to be useful on a dirt or gravel drive?

Mine is seven feet wide,, but it gives my 10,000 pound tractor fits if I try to move more than a few inches of gravel,,,

So, are you happy just re-spreading a few inches of gravel?

A 60 LPGS works just fine. I hope you have your tires filled. Worse case, you may need to only just let the unit down on the ground and not let it simply dig in to it's fullest capabilities. I would not get a 72" unit for your tractor.

I have a 60" land plane I use behind my 33 hp to grade my drive. I wouldn't try a 72" land plane on my RK24. It'' be wider but you'll be constantly limiting the depth of your grader blades.

You may have to make an extra pass or two, but a 60" grader will get you there. You may have to be careful how much of a bite you take with the RK24 though. Land graders and box blades both put a lot of load on a tractor.

Thanks for the responses guys. What would be easier on the tractor? A 60” Land Plane or a 60” Box Blade?

Keep in mind that if you have potholes smoothing them over does not do much long term. You need to dig them up and regrade so I think the box blade with scarifiers is a better choice in that case. The box blade has learning curve and will be easier to use if you have a hydraulic top link for frequent adjustments.

The land grader is much easier to use though.

There are LPGS with rippers, so the pot hole issue can be taken care of with the LPGS if your conditions warrant that type of maintenance.
