I had to spray penetrating oil on the retainer balls to get mine on. They weren't falling completely out of the way when the spring was pulled back.

Other then that used mine all last summer and fall.

That would be extremely unlikely. Especially as King Kutter private labels RK's implements.

If in doubt, take an impression of both in a bar of soft soap.

New male tractor splines mating with new female PTO shaft can be very tight. Over a period of time the splines and PTO shaft gradually wear in. However, coupling to the tractor is always a sweaty task for me.

I lube with spray Dry Lube to make slip fit easier.

Do you have a "button" or "collar" retainer, which has to be held open before PTO shaft can be pushed home on tractor splines?

If PTO drive is disengaged on tractor, you should be able to rotate tractor splines in both directions through a partial arc so tractor splines line up with PTO shaft.

Good info, I have a collar on the shaft it was not allowing the ball bearings too squeeze, I did what you recommended and dry lubed the splines it was tight going on but all is good. Thanks
