Went and picked up a 4ft tiller from rural king today. Rk brand made by king kutter, its basicly the king kutter standard series painted red with rk stickers on it. Buying experiance was terrible, they only have one guy who handles the tractor and implements. He so happens to be off on fridays and saturdays. Took forever to get some one to come load it, and took for ever to find the pto shaft. They ended up having to take one off a crated tiller from outback. That aside the tiller seems well built, and beefy. Wish they took more pride in there paint, heavy with runs in some areas and light with primer showing in others. The store must drag them around with chains and play bumper cars with them, every single one on the lot was banged up with big chips and gouges in the paint. Going to have to spend some time repairing it for rust provention. Yes its a farm tool and its going to get banged up, but when you spend almost 2g on a piece of equipment you want it to look like new when buying. Both gear boxes had 00 grease in them and were very low on fluid. Time will tell on how it works, 1800 and change wasnt a bad price.

Its very common for KK products to be lacking paint. And they don't use a primer under the paint either. I have a 6ft stump jumper brush mower from them, it's their higher ended product, one would think the painting would of been better, nope, not at all. In fact it had a few scratches where rust filled in before I bought it at the Farm & Fleet store.

I can get refurbished like new 4FT tillers from $850 to $1,200 right now. However, the drive to get them is the hindrance. The units are completely dismantled, new bearings, chain and tines, primered, final paint coating, new decals and warning labels.
