Does anyone have any information as to why the lawyers are advertising on TV for folks that have been killed or injured in Rino accedents to contact them. Must be some kind of class action suit going on against Rinos.

Lawyer's have been after the Rhino since it's release.
They are the most popular utv on the market at this time.

This reminds me of the Samurai scare in the 80's.
"Consumer reports" reported that the Samurai was a rollover hazard.
Suzuki sued consumer reports and won a 60 mil judgement.

Any offroad vehicle is subject to flip. They don't jump off there wheels without some sort of aggressive maneuver.
Everyone driving offroad needs to take extra precautions. You can flip at any speed.

Yup- and that is why Yamaha has offered free doors to all owners of Rhinos, to keep your legs in so they don't break off when you roll a 1000 pound machine and stick your leg out from reflex to stop it:cool:

BTW I don't think they'll get many calls from dead Rhino owners but I could be wrong:D

A buddy of mine rolled a Rhino over up in Virginia about a year and half ago. It snapped the bone above his ankle. He was about an hours ride in the woods. His wife drove him back to the truck. He said that was the worst and most painful ride of his life. He never considered suing.

Local Yamaha dealer told me recently he had been named in a law suit by a customer who bought a rhino from another dealer and turned it over in his back yard and broke the passengers leg. The local dealers only connection to the accident was he had transferred the unit to the selling dealer because the selling dealer did not have one like the customer wanted in stock.

Kind of makes a person wonder. When we buy these off road vehicles most of us know that they are not high speed cornering rigs. That they are made to transferr us around in bad terrain at a cautious speed induced with common sense. We as jurors need to stand up and say no to these lawyers bringing suits for idiots. There are getting to be so many placards stuck on rigs, they hardly have to be painted anymore.

RDB;
I couldn't agree with you more. As long as folks don't want to take personal responsibility for their actions, there will be lawyers to help them through the "legal process" and turn them into "victims". It's very sad. Thinking back on all the vehicles that I rolled, burned or crashed (all my fault, of course), it's a wonder I survived this long without a lawyer!

It takes all kinds and this explains how they are breaking the legs when you view this video. The leg comes out to stop the roll over and is folded back under the vehicle as it rolls. If I was a member of a jury I would say this guys case would be toast. I do not plan to do anything like this with my new RTV 900.

You mean you won't abuse your RTV900 trying to drive it up the face of a mountain till it rolls over? When I first found that video I seen this guys first attempt and if he had any brains in his head he would have known this was not a smart idea. However, I think all the coolers in the back of the Rhino were not filled with Pepsi and the refreshment of choice most likely in those coolers played a huge roll in the decision making process.:rolleyes:

I think I know the exact words that went thru his mind when he finally made it over that hump ;)
