Hey guys,

I have been looking at wood chippers on and off. I've missed a couple of good deals on Marketplace.

I've mostly been looking at the WoodMaxx WM-8H and the Woodland Mills WC68.

The wood chipper will not get heavy use, but would be very convenient to have on hand instead of always hauling the small limbs off. I have 6 acres that is heavily treed but within city limits, so I can't really burn. I constantly have limbs down, trees to take down, and trimming.

This will be for use with my Kubota B26. I noticed this Rima wood chipper on Marketplace and it looks to be a copy of the Woodland Mills WC68 or built by the same outfit.

I checked with the seller and he has them in stock, in the crate. They can ship to my door or I can pick it up to save $200, but would then have to pay tax.

Does anyone have any experience with the Rima wood chipper? Is it worth the risk, especially since I will not be using it heavily. Anything larger than 3" to 4" becomes firewood for me.

I appreciate everyone's input and help.

Problem with getting a Chinese implement is parts availability. Bearings you can pick up anywheres, but I bet dollars to donuts those are metric hydraulic hoses, and most shops don’t stock those.

But I bet you’re right, it very well may be a woodland mills duplicate. Wouldn’t hurt to go look and see, and if it is, you can probably get parts from woodland mills.

Course my opinion is worth about what ya paid for it :)

Yep, that is my worry about parts availability and if the quality is decent overall. I'm hoping the parts are the same as Woodland Mills, but that is just a guess unless someone knows for sure.

The price is very tempting, since I would like a chipper, but don't want to spend a bunch since I could live without one.
