Rhino FM 100 finish mower

Going to an auction. Rhino FM 100 rear discharge mower for sale. Used twice. Should be in very good condition. Besides scalping, what is the down side to larger finish mower? I have a 72" side discharge but would like the rear discharge option. I have a JD 3720, so the hp should not be an issues. My land is mostly flat with some slopes. What will it bring? Price of new? Is rear discharge better in heavier grass?

Did you ever buy it? I'm looking at one now it's old new stock (leftover) for $3,500. New is like $5,500.

No, found a 84" new, but left over rhino at a dealer. It was on the lot for 1 year and price was significantly less than a new 84". The dealer took my prior rhino 72" for trade in. I bought the 84" for $1800, $1200 trade in for the 72" side discharge. (I only paid $750 for the 72" mower at an aution.)
