Looking very closely at and getting close to pulling the trigger on a Case 55A (Same thing as NH workmaster 55). Most of the reviews and information relating to owners providing feedback seems to be older (2014 and older). Anyone with a newer unit that would care to share their thoughts and experiences? I wish they still made a 55C or 65C (powerstar T55 or T65)but to get into the C utility tractor you have to go all the way up to 75 HP and I don't need that. How reliable have these farmall A tractors been for people? Seems like a lot of tractor for the money.

We would be using for plowing snow. Pulling a 8' pull behind disc to farm 14 acres. 2 Row Johnny planter. Spraying Etc. The discing would be the heaviest work.

Any opinions out there are appreciated. Thank you.

Look way down the page in the Case forum for my posts on the 75A. I didn't see much online about the 2019 and up 55A, 65A, 75A either but I took a gamble and so far it's been a great tractor.

If your local dealer has a 55A or 65A, check the price against the 75A. I found very little money difference between comparably equipped models when I was shopping early this year.

Bryan, thanks.

So a 75C (smallest they make in a C series) is about 46k plus tax. A 55A is in that 37 range. Obviously, they are not apples to apples but I also don't need 75 HP. 9 grand can buy a lot of implements. I will look at the case section.

Which A model do you have? Any issues? How long have you had it? Any suggestions on must haves or things not needed for options.

I have a 75A. Cab, MFD, loader, power shuttle shift, 12x12 trans, air ride seat, rear weights. I paid $42K (not including tax). I have not seen any 55A or 65A at our local Case dealer- but a 55A for 37K sounds like a pretty good deal if comparably equipped. The power shuttle is well worth it's cost. It operates very smooth and positively. I've had it since Jan or Feb- with right around 110 hours on it now. If you read through that thread, there was an electronic gremlin with the "low fuel" warning that was intermittent, but went away without any repair being made, and hasn't come back in 30-40 hours. I have really been pleased with this tractor from a comfort, operational, and ease of use perspective.
