Reverse wheels on a 2210?

I've been following all the threads related to stability because we tend coffee on slopes here in Kona. While I'm leaning toward a 2520 for my larger farm when purchase time comes, I wondering if my dad's 2210 can have the wheels reversed for better stability. We don't run it with any implements fore or aft when mowing with the MMM. Right now it has turf tires and doesn't have any wheel weights or filled tires.
Thoughts?

We may have to see about the loaded turfs. Does any tire place do that, or do we have to haul all the way to the local JD dealer?

Kona is indeed a beautiful place. Once we get all the new coffee planted and the company on auto pilot, I'd love to spend many relaxing, sunny days mowing up the rows overlooking the blue Pacific. That is if the surfs not up!

I don't think so but my 2210 is pretty stable without wheel weights or anything. I side mow a ditch that's so steep the the front tires sometimes want to skid sideways and when I come to the driveway I come over the edge with one front tire in the air. Wheel weights are your answer to increase an already stable machine.

I don't think you want to reverse those wheels (some tires are unidirectional...you'll see an arrow on the sidewall if applicable to your tires)...you'll want to swap side to side.
Before you do this, measure the offset (distance from flange to the center mounting surface) inside and outside the wheel to see if you gain anything.
I'm not familar with the 2210, but I'd guess you'll get 4" increase in track.
Those tires aren't too tall. If you have a nice level concrete surface to work on, I think you can do the swap. Just jack them high enough to clear the surface (maybe a ¼").

I widened the rear track of my L3000DT and it made a world of diference in the stability of the tractor. The rims on my tractor have Z shaped lugs that bolt to the hub. By taking the tire on the left side and putting it on the right side the width between the rear wheels can be increased while still maintaining the directional quality of the tire.

Should your hub and rim be one piece then I think you are not able to reverse them, but I am not 100% sure about that.

Just so you know, My 2520 is ALOT more stable than my old 2210 was.

The 2520 will go where the 2210 would be on its lid!

RimGuard is available through the dealer network, it does have the advantage of being non-toxic should it leak out. You won't have a freezing problem in Kona, so water (or water and some combination) is a possibility, but the 2210s tires are small and you probably wouldn't get more than 80-90 lbs/tire that way. Maybe a combination of loading and wheel weights would be what you need. My tires are loaded and it helps stability quite a bit. I do use the weight box filled with concrete when I do anything heavy with the loader.
