Resurfacing dam

I am posting it just for the pictures:

The dam is on a top of a mountain to supply water for electrostation in peak demand hours. This year they need to resurface it.

I say HAD because about a year and a hlf ago it failed and as the water cascaded down the mountin it did a lot of damage and killed a few folks. It's all in the link I provided.

Looks like there is a significent difference between those two dams. Looks like Taum Sauk was built on top of a mountain and Dlouhe strane was dug in the mountain. (Because of the greenies they had to rebuilt the mountain next to the dam)

when taum sauk failed it distroyed one of the most unique natural outdoor water attactions called john shuttins.

now all i have left is fond childhood memories from the 80's.
