I have to reseat a tubless tire on a mahindra 2816. any tricks to get it back on rim..I have two ratchet straps around tire to try and seal it enough for the 60 gallon aircompressor to reseat the tire, but its just not working...I don't want to try the butane trick..any other ways..or tricks..

Re: reseat a threaded tire

Have you removed the valve stem core? Doing this allows for a greater rush of air.

Lay the tire in the sun and let in get warm/hot. This softens the rubber and sometimes help them to seat also.

Last resort, a tube always works..

I didn't remove the valve no...sun isn't an option here..its either fog or rain.....

I've seen people spray in some starter fluid and light it. Its what they do on the snow trucks. just make sure you don't over do it. In fact, don't do it and don't tell anybody I mentioned it.

Sometimes a few well placed hits with a big mallet as well as removing the valve stem and ratchet straps works.

But starter fluid is also my backup. But I also don't reccomend trying it either

I tried the starter fluid method on a stubborn MH tubeless tire on my car trailer I wish I was the guy watching that mayhem is all I can say about that haha.

I watched an old fellow do the ether method, I was surprise at how little he squirted into a logging truck tire! just a quick press on the ether and he stood back a little and flicked paper matches into the opening. It worked real good, but it made me jump a little. He did it that way for decades.
I was impressed.

please don't do this take the valve stem out as mentioned and put tire in the sun and let it warm up and get limber and the ratchet strap around the middle should work.

I bought a "bead blaster" for my big truck tires but even sometimes i still have to use starter fluid on some stubborn tires. I absolutley hate using this technique but sometimes have to. My problem with the rachet straps is that the tires alway bend at the rachet strap buckle and make the problem worse! How do you guys keep the tire from bending at the rachet strap buckle?

What about encircling the tire once before you hook the straps together? This would require a fairly long tie strap but I wonder if it would even out the tension?
just a thought.
