Hi all,
I am in the process of evaluating whether I want to upgrade from my current B3200 to the heavier L3301. I recognize that the performance characteristics vary little between the two in terms of HP and overall lift capacities. They are similar in size (dimensions) however the L3301 looks to be about 1K pounds heavier, which for the type of work I do (primarily ground enagaging - I maintain about 3 miles of gravel road, doing everything from ditching, culvert maintenance and grading twice a year) would help with control. The B3200 has never left me wanting more power, however when I am grading (I use an 8', 6-position pull grader - total length 16' built by Johnson mfg in Kulm ND), I find that a little more weight would help keep the tractor wheels from breaking loose particularly on the steeper grades.
For me to do this I am looking to see what a reasonable resale value on my tractor might be and would appreciate any feedback you may have. Some specifics on the tractor:
2010 B3200 w/300hrs
LA504 Loader w/QA & 60" bucket
BH76 Backhoe w/6-position mechanical thumb
High capacity alternator upgrade
block heater
2- rear work lights mounted to ROPS
3-postion rear valves (used to operate the 6-postion pull grader) - Two float and one detent valve
Using the "build my tractor" feature on the Kubota website it would run about 31K (I didn't get everything at once and added over time). My current tractor is paid for and would expact to pay a little more for the L3301 but am looking to see what the difference may be. The dealer that I work with asked me what I would want for mine (rather than them giving me an estimate) which is why I am reaching out to you. If I go through with it the L3301 will be my fourth Kubota (last upgrade was from a BX24 to the B3200). Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
Mike
