My belt snapped last weekend.
Replacement doesn't look too difficult.
For those of you who have replaced the belt on your Deere ZTR, what kind of wrench did you use for the belt retainers in the pulley wells? The only thing I can see that would work would be a combination wrench that has been bent to fit down there.
Also, how much of a hassle is it to mount the tension spring?

A spring puller tool would be helpful for this project, then it will be relatively easy. Take the spring off first, loosen hdwe on idler arm guide and spindle belt guide, loosen nuts for belts guides next to pulleys and they should swing out of the way to get the belt in. Some of this like the ones by the clutch is easier from the back of the machine. Good luck.
