Replacing plastic housing BX2200

A limb broke the plastic housing around the 3 shifters on the right side. Shifters being the 3 pt lever, 4wd lever and turtle/rabbit lever. How in the heck do you get the knobs or tips of the ends so as to take off the broken housing and replace it with the new one. It appears that you have to destroy them to get them off and replace with new ones.

Use a heat gun and apply a little heat to the knob. It will then pull off with little effort. You should remove it with a glove or pliers so you don't burn yourself. Also, you will need to re-install the same way.

The heat gun works great. I have done many. Good luck.

At work I use an air nozzle to remove the knobs. If you look closely at the end of the knob there is a little hole. Now take the end of your air nozzle and blow air in the hole while pulling up with your other hand and they should pop right off. If you get one that refuses to come off spary some WD-40 into the little hole using first and then hit it with some air. AND ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SAFETY GLASSES

That air trick sounds great, I'm going to try that. I got my knobs off by placing an adjustable wrench below the knob (wrench adjusted just loose on the flat of the lever) and they popped right off by pulling the wrench up.
