Replacement Roller for a Gearmore GML 61H Flail Mower

Hi All

As stated in the title I need a replacement roller (or alternative solution) for a Gearmore GML 61H flail mower. It also appears to be a rebranded Seppi SML 61. Anyways, it needs a roller, but I can't seem to find one. Dealers have told me its 90+ days out (too far out to give an estimate, really) and the price they've quoted me is comparable to buying a new mower. Sheesh!

Any ideas about alternative solutions? Or if I can use another brand roller in its place? I've heard stories of folks mounting wheels in the holes where the roller shaft would go, but haven't seen it in person. All ideas are welcome!

What about having one made from your old roller? I would think a good machine shop would be able to fix you up.
