My 42 or 46" Titan pallet forks (These minus the bale spear lugs)about about to run off with my L3200 as part of a package deal, so I need to replace them along with the new cabbed L4060 that is coming (loader lift tops out under 2k lbs). Titan had the messed up SSQA issue on mine, but handled it well so I'm kind of looking at them for a replacement. The frame bent once when I abused it (glad it bent & not my curl cylinders when lifting the front end & back dragging with a bucket spade on... unsurprising given the abuse in retrospect), but it was easily fixed with a torch & sledge hammer, but otherwise worked well. It looks like for about $25 more I can get the same ones from Titan only US built. The current US ones don't appear to have the bale spear lugs that the non-US ones have.

Any recommendations for some good forks that might bring a bit more to the table?

  • Trailer receiver hitch
  • Bale spear lugs
  • Extra rollback angle (haven't run into big problems with my soon to be previous one that has no extra rollback, but it's close on occasion

I like the idea of being able to add a thumb or grapple, but the cost in $$$ or weight isn't worth it for me at this point.

Titan's are hard to beat for the $ but I question the ratings as I bent mine on 2 occasions. I also had a lighter set of bobcat brand forks on my last tractor and they were nice. If you want to add a grapple you might look at the set Sawyer Rob has.

I bent my Titans within 20 minutes. My fault as I wasn't using them as forks. I was digging out a small stump with them. Just know that they will bend if used outside of their intended use.

I fortunately found a nice used set of CID forks several months ago off Craigslist. They are rated at 4K and are very good quality. They are not cheap but are very well built.

Funny you should post this (That's funny Ironic not funny que... never mind. Obscure slingblade reference) because I just got an e-mail from Titan yesterday that they are having a sale on pallet fork attachments this week only.

I have to agree with RoadHunter that they are hard to beat for the price to begin with. The sale this week should make it even tougher..

We have the short 36" ones that also came with the bale spear & receiver hitch - we don't use ours as much now that we have the grapple but for our light duty use they were great for the price. I agree that sometimes it felt like they needed a little more roll back but that's when we were treating them more like a carry-all than pallet forks.

I've got EA 48" 3,000 lb forks. Have moved around several pallets of wood (some nearly 1/4 mile) and so far they seem to work just fine, a little springy. At only 320 lbs that leaves me with nearly 2,400 lbs of lift capacity for my Kioti.
