Replacement for Deere 2520/2720

I was looking at tractors last week and my local Deere dealer said there will be no changes to the 2520/2720 series. I thought there was going to be some subtle changes and a new numbering of these models? I figured this was the reason he was trying to sell me a 2720 for $17, 100 he had on the lot.

I thought I saw something about an upgraded DSCV. Looks like they have added a diverter value so you press a button and the side to side value will control and secondary function like a grapple instead of the curl.

sugarloafguy if that's the same tractor I saw recently. I thought the $17,100 was for the tractor alone and not with the loader that was on it.
I did not go inside to ask as I wasn't looking for a 2720

No changes to the 23, 25 or 2720's that I have heard...

I just bought a 2720, the dealer said they will have a replacement in the next 1 1/2 year or so.

They had some kind of promotion on the 2720 at the dealer level which is why they had that price. I saw the same tractor today and noted the price. I didn't realize that it didn't include the loader.

Do not know for sure but I was told by a dealer that the 2011 year model 2000 series tractors actually built in 2011 has some differences in the hydraulic system. Something about a different Power Beyond kit is required. the old one will not work, or so he said.

charleyfarmall If your interested you should check. Don't want to lead you astray from a good deal. Again I didn't go inside to ask as I was more interested in the 2520. I saw the tag indicating $17,100 and thought that's a good price with the attached loader then got thinking that must be for a bare tractor.
