Before I fired up the ole b1750 I wanted to be safe and come on here and ask first...

I pulled the radiator so I could get back to the little coolant hoses that are hidden behind the fan and belt. They all looked original and very old...

so, everything is bolted back up and 50/50 coolant is poured into the radiator.

Do I need to do any kind of bleeding or burping, or can I just fire it up?

With my gas car's I wouldn't do anything special after replacing radiators/hoses, and would just fire it up.

But, this is a diesel tractor, and I'm still learning.

thx

I would start it up and let it warm a bit and then check the fluid level. You'll find you will need to add a bit as the air is driven out of the block and heater (if you have one).

It should be fine. Most systems are self bleeding but usually you need to warm it up to the point where the thermostat will open to get rid of all the air.
Of course if it is the old siphon system then there is no thermostat and you should be good to go.
