Hi All, I would like to replace the turnbuckles on the 3pt arms with a pin type setup on my L3400. I went to the dealer and inquired about a set off a Grand L they would cost over $300 dollars and I think that is way to much. Does anyone know of a pin type setup that can be had for a better price. Thanks in advance.

I bought the parts from TractorSmart.com is your online source for Kubota online parts. I found a parts list for the B7800 on TBN. It was less than $150 if I remember correctly.

Hi All, I would like to replace the turnbuckles on the 3pt arms with a pin type setup on my L3400. ........

Dang, another great idea! Why risk carpel tunnel and time crunch when simply adjusting with a pin setting would do for 99.9% of most needs. I can't imagine any situation where the less than infinite adjustment range would be necessary on a top link.

Of course a tiltable hydraulic setup would be even better, but the pin thing would be a otherwise great option. Let us know (with link or photos pse)
what you come up with.

Regards,
Dennis

Like bota7800, I replaced my turnbuckles on the lower arms with the kit from Tractorsmart. Those are the ones normally on the B2630 & B3030. It was a nice improvement. But I doubt that they would work on the L3400. From the Kubota website, it looks like the L4400 has the telescopic that would probably fit. But like in your case, when I went to the dealer, he priced all of the parts and it was in the range of $250 - $300. Through Tractorsmart, I got mine delivered for $200. Maybe you can contact Tractorsmart and see if they will put together a kit for the L's.

Thanks for the replies guys. After a few phone calls I was able to get what I was looking for. The part #is L8430 3 point hitch stabilization kit. It sells for $169.00. This is standard equipment on the L4400 but optional on 2800 & 3400. So mine is on order. I also found out that some dealers don't have to much knowledge about what is available for the machines they sell.

Glad you found what you needed. If they work like the ones I put on mine, there are holes closer to the tractor and then holes closer to the implement. The ones closer to the tractor are like 1/2 the others, giving you like a 1/2 adjustment. That will make more sense once you get them.

On the B's, when you take the implement off, the lower arms swing almost together which I found annoying. The telescopic system eliminated that and I don't have to use the spreader bar to hold the arms apart when using backing into the implement with the Pats quick hitch. Also I had bent 3 bolts for the turnbuckle system and @ $20 each, it was getting old.

KU Gator, Thanks for including the picture in your post. That is the setup I was looking for. On the L series they are located on the outside of the arms. I have yet to bend one of my turnbuckle bolts but I always keep them tight to prevent any sway.

Based on the list prices here: Parts for Kubota B3030 Tractors

... and the fact that you only really need two each of the parts numbered 50, 90, 100 & 140 which collectively list for just a smidgen under $80, this is a DEAL.

Time to place my order.

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Agri Supply would have what you are looking for. Sounds like there are numerous options. Good luck!!!!!

What about item number 40. If I am looking at it right, it is a $35 each part. Seems really high for what is a piece of metal bent around that small part. Plus you will need those pins shown and the nuts and washers. When my dealer priced it out a part at a time like that, it was cheaper just to get it from TractorSmart as Bota 7800 did.
