Well my starter started acting up so i decided it was time to pull the engine and do the repairs i have been needing to do to my PT. My parking brake cables were getting to the point where they would not work properly so i am pulling them both out and servicing them by cleaning the cables, flushing out the cable casings and streching the springs a bit then reinstalling them. I orderd a new engine harness and will be installing it along with the starter.My choke cable never worked since i bought it ( it has a small cable to pull on the engine to start). After i removed engine i found out the engine mount plate welds were broken so i will have my welder get it repaired as well. There was about 2-3 inches of dust- oil- leafs- etc in the pan of the engine bay so i was having fun getting all of that out too. My Lovejoy couplers were pretty worn so i have them on hand also to replace ( i already have a extra set ordered for when i was going to do this planning ahead). Everything for the most part was difficult considering everything was wet from old hydraulic lines-and the old pump leaking, But once i removed the 4 bolts holding the engine to the mount plate it was all downhill so to speak. I have to wait untill after the holiday to get it back together, but when i am done i think i will have everytning working like it should.
